During the Sept 8th, 2014 City Council Work Session, Fire Chief Jeff Hogan reviewed an agreement with Alpharetta Fire Dept to provide better coverage for the Northwest corner of the City.

Alpharetta's Fire Station is closer to the area and can provide better fire protection to several subdivisions, such as Seven Oaks, Devonhall and Wingate.

Johns Creek Fire Dept will provide coverage for subdivisions in the Haynes Bridge area in return, as they are in closer proximity than Alpharetta's Stations.

These measures will reduce emergency personnel's response time.

This agreement that is recognized by the ISO will also reduce the homeowners insurance premiums.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
