Being a decades-long South Korea watcher, the work-oriented immigration battle involving South Korea and United States immigration is likely unprecedented. Details about the situations of specific, detained Korean executives and workers have yet to fully emerge, that were found to be working at the Savannah area Hyundai-LG plant site.

It’s the talk of South Korea right now with various angles to the situation emerging.  These include a request for new short-term work visas. There are reports of Koreans anxious about any trips to the US. The South Korean President sent a plane and called the detentions “unjust”.

Protesters also urge Seoul to halt US investments and demand an apology from Trump.

In Georgia, the Savannah Morning News put forth new details emerging after the raid. Plus last night Victor Davis Hanson and Laura Ingraham discussed the odd situation on FOX in an international business context.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.

It's time to pull all of our troops out of S.Korea and kick Hyundai out also. It is high time the US says the hell with the rest of the world, arm ourselves to the teeth and go on about our lives.

Charles in Georgia

Indeed. I was just thinking that WE have been CARRYING South Korea my entire life (which is not inconsiderable!) and it's past time to stop that useless practice. They are a serious national security risk! Can YOU tell a NORK from a South Korean by looking? That's ALL we need...a bunch of Commie NORKS running loose in the very nation they most hate and despise! Better to wash our hands of it like Pontius Pilate.
