Just one more of the innumerable reasons we need to go back to mechanical voting machines that punched holes paper ballots and triple counted ballots by different certified workers along with 100% vetted mail-in and overseas ballots. This is the main reason for the almost 3 month delay between election day and the inauguration of the new (or reelected) president.
Additionally, to ensure a honest election and to make it much more difficult to rig an election, the US needs to institute mandatory, vetted voter ID system that is crosschecked against an "official" (driver's license, gov't issued ID, SS card etc.) identification.
