Before I get rolling here, I have a couple of apologies to make. The first is to the hundreds of First Liberty Ponzi scheme victims. Had I, or anyone else, made the connections you will read below prior to them investing life savings into the “Frost family at First Liberty” Ponzi scheme, and had they been able to learn of those connections in time, perhaps some now penniless investors might have been alerted before they lost all their money.
Secondly, I want to apologize to Republicans across Georgia for taking so long to recognize certain signs of possible influence on the leadership of the Georgia Republican Party, particularly its Chairman, Josh McKoon, leading the chairman to act in ways I and others have previously been concerned, however could never fully explain. Perhaps now we have that explanation.
Regarding the “Frost family at First Liberty,” in a report informing the world of a now famous $140 million Ponzi scheme, the SEC wrote that First Liberty marketed its unsecured investment opportunities primarily toward unsuspecting MAGA-supporting Christian churchgoers.
According to the SEC and others who know them, the Frost family has been living what some might consider a “lifestyles of the rich and famous” existence, all the while apparently funneling large sums of investor dollars into the hands of selected politicians, not only in Georgia, but also in numerous other states around the country. Until recent days, however, all of us witnessing the Frost family saga unfold, have struggled to imagine how anyone involved could have expected getting away with what the family business was apparently doing. I mean, prior to now, none of this has made much sense. Someone among the family had to realize that such an irresponsible operation would ultimately fail and someone would have to pay the price…or would they?
But a bigger question is simply, why? Why would a family of devout churchgoers themselves, make it their business to take in fellow churchgoer’s money, pledged for investing, and instead blatantly divert those funds to various political campaigns?
Perhaps we now have our answer.
