$1 Mlllion per acre is equivalent to nearly $200 from every man, woman and child in Forsyth County.

On December 18, 2025, Forsyth County Commission quietly approved $52+ million dollars to rebuild Sharon Springs Park, home to ball fields, trails and tennis courts (along with Tax Assessor Building and Precinct location. The measure was part of a bulk "Consent Agenda." A tactic meant to bury the details away from public scrutiny - and questions.

That investment is nearly $1 Million dollars per acre.

Many residents are questioning the amount the County Commissioners chose to spend and why this wasn’t more widely discussed prior to the decision which was made during a Board of Commissioners meeting a week before Christmas 2025.

The decision and vote was documented in minutes of the December 18th meeting:

Who is MAPP, LLC and why were they chosen?

MAPP, LLC’s website shows them to be a Baton Rouge, LA based firm.     Why wasn’t a Georgia-based firm (or better yet a Forsyth County-based firm) chosen?

MAPPs company profile lists Brad Chambers as their Business Unit Leader in Atlanta:

Diving a bit deeper begins to display some concerning connections:

In this post, WorkSource Cobb appears to avoid identifying Brad Chambers, but does highlight Jon Ossoff and Sec of the Treasury (under Biden) Wally Adeyemo.

However, Chambers himself acknowledges the event and positions MAPP/PGAL as a “host” of the event featuring Sen. Jon Ossoff.

Note how the post also cites, “utilizing Federal investments from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda.”

All of this leaves Forsyth County residents with these questions:

Why would Forsyth County Commissioners choose an out-of-State vendor for a Sharon Springs project?

Why would they bury the decision in a meeting and vote just days before Christmas?

What justifies spending $52 million dollars on an already existing park? Why is nearly $1 million for every acre needed?

Why is the “Business Unit Leader” of the selected vendor connected to Jon Ossoff (and to the Biden “Investing in America” agenda?)

Did The Commission know these connections before selecting MAPP/Chambers? If so why would they go ahead?

Knowing this now - why aren't they changing course?

It appears that once again the Forsyth County Commissioners have some explaining to do….
