Current GA GOP Chair Josh McKoon has won re-election at the GA GOP convention in Dalton, GA today.

The vote was approximately 1000 to 600 over challenger David Cross, the current first vice chair.

Salleigh Grubbs won the first vice chair position.

There are reports microphones for the delegates were controlled to prevent opposition.

President Donald Trump endorsed McKoon, who's chairmanship has been marred by financial irregularities. However, Trump posted he endorsed McKoon for the 'George' Republican Party, causing some to suspect Trump was signaling he was aware of McKoon's actions.

Watch The Georgia Show Sunday at 2pm here on The Georgia Record or on our X channel for more information on the convention.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
