Madelyn Orochena is a hard-core 'progressive' who ran for city council in Kennesaw. Her website touts her support for 'affordability', and the arts.

"I will work to change the negative reputation we still face by focusing on compassion, equality, and progress," she declares. Although the race is officially 'non-partisan', that's socialist gobligook if we've ever heard it.

Madelyn Orochena is also an election-denier.

After initially being told she won the after the Nov 8 election, officials informed the public another memory card had been found which was never tabulated in the original results. It contained an additional 789 votes.

The election was 'flipped' in favor of her opponent Lynette Burnette.

“Unfortunately, once found we did upload it, and it changed the outcome of the Kennesaw City Council race,” Cobb County Elections Director Janine Eveler said.

There is a machine audit today at 12 noon in Cobb County. Results should be available around 3pm est.

If Orochena loses, we wonder if she'll demand a hand count in Trump style.

  1. AND WHAT EXACTLY IS WRONG WITH AN ACTUAL HANDS ON RECOUNT ???? WE USED TO DO HAND COUNTS FOR A COUPLE OF HUNDRED YEARS UNTIL JUST THE PAST 30 YEARS. ARE YOU PEOPLE AFRAID YOUR CANDIDATE WILL WIN OR LOSE WITH AN ACCURATE COUNT OF BALLOTS ?? AT LEAST WITH AND ACTUAL HAND COUNT OF BALLOTS THERE'S NO WAY REALLY TO CHEAT ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE HONEST OBSERVERS.

  2. Of course the article was not meant to disparage hand recounts, which we desire across the board. The article was meant to point out the 'progressive' hypocrisy.

  3. Public and immediate hand-counting of hand-marked ballots, followed by public announcements of results, is the only way to insure trust in elections. To do so in a timely fashion requires increasing the number of voting precincts to no more than perhaps 10,000 voting eligible people. At a 40% turnout rate, that amounts to 3,000 votes that only a handful of counters can easily handle in a few hours. In a city of 1 million, that's only 100 polling places.

Rely on volunteer counters or better 'draft' citizens into service much like jury service. If ordinary citizens, with a little on-site training and organization, can sentence a fellow citizen to death, surely they can count ballots.

See-through ballot boxes on public display. When one is full, close the slot, lock the box, and leave it in public view.

Limit absentee voting to military, the house-bound, and persons outside the country at election time. (Military can vote and count at their respective bases.)

If people can't be bothered to take an active role in elections, other than show up and stand in line for an hour once every 2 years, and/or are too incompetent to put marks on a piece of paper, their votes don't deserve to be counted anyway.

Americans have gotten lazy & spoiled, relying on technology to "make things easy".

This requires pressure on state legislators and governors to re-assert state sovereignty in elections. If we can't be bothered to make the effort to fix this, then we deserve the third-world styles elections we now have. So, stop whining and get busy.

  4. There is a video from the 2020 election of a female in a heavy Dem district (can't remember the state),sitting at a 6' table counting and organizing incoming memory sticks and ballots. The table is full, with people all around. The vid shows the woman taking a memory stick and very slowing putting it under her thigh, on the chair. Then a young man (teen?) comes over and stands next to her and she very slowing, under the table, takes the memory stick and gives it over to the teen who quickly pockets it and walks off. In this case, it looks like THIS memory stick was FOUND.
