Current Georgia law allows materials that meet the definition of materials that are harmful to minors, per Georgia Code Section 16-12-103, to be allowed in the libraries operated in our K-12 public schools.
SB154, Sale or Distribution of Harmful Materials to Minors was introduced by Senator Greg Dolezal and signed off by 20 other Senators.
We are approaching the end of session and if this bill does not receive a hearing by 3/2/2023, the bill is unlikely to survive this session, leaving our children at risk for further sexualization in our public schools.
