Scott Howard, an activist in Forsyth County, GA as filed complaints with the Georgia State Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission and the Georgia Attorney General's office, alleging that four members of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners have violated the states laws.
The complaints stem in part from the use of "private facebook groups" to allegedly conduct county business. Georgia laws call for official business to be conducted where the public can be aware of county meetings and observe the discussions, deliberation and decisions resulting from such meetings.
The concerns are further escalated by an apparent attempt to avoid disclosure of these private facebook group(s) during a recent open records request issued to the County.

State Senator Greg Dolezal
The complaint states the following:
"The above-named Forsyth County Commissioners have engaged in a systematic pattern of deliberations and decision-making outside of properly noticed public meetings in violation of
Georgia's Sunshine Laws. Specifically, these officials are conducting government business through private, access-restricted Facebook groups..."

In a separate story The Georgia Show last week reported messages reportedly sent by from Alfred John, and issued within one of these private facebook groups, wherein John compared comments and questions by Hank Sullivan to supporting "anarchy."
