One of the biggest music events in the South is about to come to Atlanta this month, and Georgia music fans will not want to miss it. Shaky Knees Music Festival returns to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta from September 18 through September 20, 2026, bringing three full days of live rock, indie, and alternative music to the city’s iconic greenspace. The festival was founded by Atlanta-based booking agent Tim Sweetwood in 2013.

This year’s slate of headliners is perhaps the strongest the festival has ever seen: The Strokes will headline Friday, Twenty One Pilots will take the stage on Saturday, and Gorillaz will close out the festival on Sunday. But the headliners are just the tip of the iceberg — Wu-Tang Clan, The Prodigy, LCD Soundsystem, Knocked Loose, Modest Mouse, Santigold, Coheed and Cambria, and nearly 60 other acts will perform across multiple stages throughout the festival, something for every rock fan to enjoy.

Shaky Knees Music Festival is a full experience for the weekend. The festival grounds at Piedmont Park are in the heart of Midtown, where attendees can find the best restaurants and hotels in the city. Food from all over the Southeast will be represented by dozens of food trucks serving up Southern BBQ and more. The grounds are designed for comfort, with shaded areas between stages and plenty of room to explore. With tens of thousands of attendees expected across the three-day festival, it will be one of the largest ticketed events of the fall in Atlanta.

Georgia readers should secure tickets as soon as possible — Saturday’s lineup is currently selling the fastest. Single-day passes and three-day general admission tickets are available on the Shaky Knees website and through Live Nation. Book your hotel near Piedmont Park well in advance as availability is limited. Gates open at 4 PM each day, with headliners taking the stage in the evening.

Shaky Knees 2026 is the perfect way to start fall in Atlanta. A premium event, the festival has become a signature gathering for music lovers across the state of Georgia. Come celebrate The Strokes, Gorillaz, and so many more at the beautiful Piedmont Park. Tickets and the full lineup for Shaky Knees 2026 are available now at shakykneesfestival.com.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
