Many of us in the grassroots have been shocked at the behavior of GOP officials across the nation. It's almost as if the GOP leadership doesn't give a damn about Americans who want to participate in the political process.
In Miami-Dade for instance, we witnessed county GOP officials acting in a tyrannical manner, refusing to allow participation of those with the 'wrong opinions' in the selection of leadership. This resulted in many leaving the party in disgust and frustration as we have documented extensively at The Miami Independent.
In fact, it has happened all across Florida as the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) did nothing as Republican Executive Committees (REC) around the state literally had individuals removed from leadership, or saw the entire REC cancelled for being MAGA and pro-Trump.
The behavior of the RPOF stinks to high heaven.
Guess what, the GOP stinks like a pogie plant in Georgia too!
The GA GOP convention in Dalton was the most recent example.
We have documented extensively here at The Georgia Record the tyrannical behavior of the Josh McKoon faction at the convention, where the grassroots are supposed to be given access to the mechanisms of power and the people's voice is supposed to be heard.
Nothing could be further from the truth, and everyone, on both sides, knows it.
But now the real bomb has dropped.
The collapse of the Frost family business has shaken up the Georgia GOP world.
What is shocking is the level of involvement of Frost family members at the GA GOP convention in preventing the grassroots from enjoying their God-given rights (not to mention given by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, GA political law, and the GA GOP bylaws).
We have documented complaints to the national GOP leadership regarding what happened at the convention in Dalton.
With the stench of corruption reaching unbreathable heights in GA GOP land, the only question is -- what will the national GOP leadership do? What will GOP Chair Michael Whatley do?
What will 'Conservative Inc', who's members spoke at the convention do?
Is it believable that Josh Mckoon, the GA GOP Chair, who allowed, or enabled the heavy involvement of Frost family members in convention proceedings, knew nothing of the pending Federal takeover of First Liberty, or the problems at the business enterprise?
"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!", or should we say, God knows.
Hint, the Georgia grassroots know too.
2026 is coming. The grassroots in Georgia are angry, demoralized, and may unplug from this critical upcoming election, due to the self-serving behavior of GA GOP leadership.
This doesn't help President Trump or the people of Georgia.
Mr. President, your advisors are giving you bad advice on the selection of leaders in Georgia. It is going to hurt the party's chances in the 2026 election, and could imperil your mandate in Congress.
The Georgia Record is not done on this topic.
Wait for it...
Give to the candidate, not the party. Or (better yet IMO) a top down reorganization of the GOP. They should remember (but they don't) that the GOP needs MAGA - MAGA does not need the GOP!
I would not hold my breath waiting for Whatley to do anything.
He did not lift a hand to stop House and Senate seats from being stolen in 2024.
Will national GOP do the right thing? No! The never do. Duh!
