Barack Obama is back and he's got politics on his mind. The 45th President of the United States attended a private Democratic fundraiser with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) over the weekend, where he emphasized that Democrats should run Artificial Intelligence (AI) oversight as the core of their midterm strategy. On its face, Obama's comments on the matter are fairly sane and logical. However, scratch just below the surface of the former President's words and you will discover the typical globalist endgame.

Obama is urging the Democrats to frame the AI issue around the need for a set of "oversight policies" which would be implemented by the "private sector." This is the framework that he told House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries that Democrats should "assemble" once they have won the House and he becomes Speaker. And, according to the New York Times, Obama warned that if Democrats fail to "get on top of" AI "it can be dangerous" because it is "moving very fast in private hands."

"Global AI Governance" refers to the power grab by various global, bureaucratic entities, including the United Nations, the World Economic Forum and others. They want to exploit the fear that AI causes to the American worker (job displacement, surveillance and data exploitation) and hand control of this emerging technology over to these unelected, international entities. The attempt to ram the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) down the throats of the American people were unsuccessful, but Obama is attempting an end run around Congress and the American people by donning an AI costume.

Democrat Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff who is up for re-election in the highly competitive Senate race in the Deep Blue State against Trump-backed Republican Representative Mike Collins, made it clear at his weekend rally of Schumer-stoked supporters that the kind of President he wants "needs to lead the world toward an AI treaty". No, that is not to protect the work of American workers from being disrupted by A.I., it is to use A.I. as another way to transfer global power to globalist global institutions that would never have been voted into power in America.

This is in stark contrast to the approach of President Trump, who has called the AI risk warnings a "hoax," and exposed the "sick conspiracy" to slow down American AI development and data centers. As Trump Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has said, "If China becomes the AI superpower, then nothing else matters. We have to stop this before it's too late." Bessent's solution is for America to win the AI race, not to sign away the keys to the kingdom to UN bureaucrats on the take from Obama donors.

The House Majority PAC, the political wing of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, recently distributed a memo to Democratic candidates outlining a winning strategy to get elected. In it, they counseled the candidates to spread fears about "conspiratorial" AI to win the votes of anxious voters. That's not leadership, that's creating a panic so Democrats can sign away American sovereignty to unelected international regulators.

There are seven weeks left until the midterms. Will Americans allow the same architects of disastrous deals like NAFTA, TPP, and the Paris Agreement to define the next great technology for global control?
