Fox 5 in Atlanta reported on area political reaction to the resignation of Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14). She said that she'd be resigning on January 5, 2026.

Greene accused President Trump of using millions of dollars to ruin her chances for re-election in 2026, after public, political conflicts.

"I refuse to be a battered wife," said Greene, "hoping it all goes away and gets better."

Slated Democratic challenger for the GA-14 seat, Shawn Harris, and GA republican radio show host Martha Zoller commented on the situation in the Fox 5 news report.

A special election to fill Greene's seat is expected. Governor Brian Kemp will need to set a date for that.
