Political newcomer Rick Jackson has won the GA GOP nomination for governor to run against Keisha Bottoms in November in the general election. With 85% of the vote tallied, the AJC called it with 53% to 47% for Lt Gov Burt Jones.
The race for the Georgia GOP Senate Candidate to run against Jon Ossoff has been called for Mike Collins by the AJC. With 61% of the vote counted, Collins is ahead 55.5% to Derek Dooley at 45.5%.
Trump announced the endorsement of Collins early on Sunday, June 14, 2026 (his 80th birthday), via Truth Social, just days before the June 17 runoff against former football coach Derek Dooley. He called Collins a “true Friend, Fighter, and WARRIOR” who has been with him “from the very beginning,” describing him as a “MAGA” loyalist and successful businessman.
The race for the GA GOP gubernatorial seat is still undecided.
Tim Fleming has won the GOP nomination over Vernon Jones for Secretary of State by a substantial margin.
Greg Dolezal won the Lt Gov position with 54% to 46% over John Kennedy.
