A woman is recovering from life-altering injuries after police say she was the victim of a chemical attack near Forsyth Park on Wednesday night.
Ashley Wasielewski, the victim, remains in a Georgia burn center after suffering third-degree burns. Police say she was walking near the park just before 8 p.m. when a man crept up behind her and poured an unknown chemical on her. They say she did not know her attacker, reports WJCL.
Her friend, Connor Milam, said the call she received that night is something she’ll never forget.
"I've never heard anyone sound like that. It was horrific," Milam said.
The violence has shaken many who frequent Forsyth Park, including people who often walk there alone.

IMHO, every time we catch one of these sickos, they should be publicly executed in the most painful way possible, like slow roasted at the stake or fed feet-first into a wood chipper. The only way to stop or seriously slow down this insane stuff is for them to know what will be the payment extracted by us for such a heinous crime.
