Crime in Savannah is off the charts due to Mayor Van Johnson's Democrat, globalist leadership, or lack of it on fighting crime.

Residents tell The Georgia Record they no longer feel safe in the city as all types of crime skyrockets.

Mayor Van Johnson's office released a statement that did little to make citizens feel safe.

"I am totally sickened that his happened to her in Forsyth park," said one local resident.

"I am sickened that this happened to someone in our beloved and beautiful city. Tourist and citizens alike should feel safe to walk our beautiful streets. Savannah has seen an uptick in violent crime and our mayor does nothing to stop it. We need a mayor that will be tough on crime and protect our historic city and her citizens and visitors alike. Savannah does not feel safe. It does not feel like the Savannah I grew up in."
