[ATLANTA, GA] Following the arrest of Eugene Yu, CEO of Konnech, Dekalb County held a Special Called Meeting of the Dekalb Board of Registration and Elections.  The Board was to consider whether to terminate or maintain the contract signed with Konnech last month     Eugene Yu, CEO of Konnech was arrested in Michigan last week on suspicion of stealing Poll Worker private data.  Documents involved in the case also allege the data was stored on servers residing in the People’s Republic of China.  According to Chinese law, data on the internet and servers in China is owned by China.

Citizens from several Counties voiced issues including Poll Worker privacy, the potential for US information to be transferred to mainland China, and the responsibility of Dekalbs Board members to safeguard their workers and community.   They also noted that other Counties such as Fairfax, VA had already terminated their contract with Konnech following the arrest of the CEO.   Citizens also cited the unknown amount of risk to data and privacy going forward as the County moves to place more information in the hands of Konnech employees.   Earlier in the morning, a Georgia County had reported that they had been prepared to have a demonstration of Konnech software but had broken off discussions after the concerns about Konnech surfaced.    On Friday, Detroit reported that it had terminated their contract with Konnech and Fairfax County, VA announced they had ceased use of the company’s software.

After public comments and a discussion amongst the members, the Board voted of 3 – 2 NOT to terminate the Konnech contract.

Later in the meeting two Board members expressed disappointment over the decision amidst continued concerns about Poll Worker privacy, public confidence and forward-looking worries over the financial stability of a company whose CEO is under arrest.

Dekalb Board of Registration and Elections has always known who and what Konnech is and that is precisely why they were/will be used! If you think Dr. Evil is secretly stealing elections behind everyone’s backs, all by himself, you couldn’t be more wrong! Many, many thousands know and perpetrate these acts and the Dekalb Board of Registration and Elections are neck-deep in this treason!!!

This is very serious. This company, Konnech should not be used. A non profit discovered that China held this data.Thr deeper evidence is that China knows the location of every poll worker and officer AND their families 24/7. This is not speculation. This nom profit gave this to the FBI over a year ago thinking the FBI was honorable. They sat on it. When they realized they were not going to do anything they began releasing this information. Then the FBI came after the non profit. They might be charged with having this data with no concern that the CCP possibl holds elected officials, poll workers with threats. It would explain the behavior of Georgia SOS who denies what is seen.
