Cobb County GOP Election / Convention Challenged By Precinct Leaders

Members of Cobb County's Republican Party have filed a challenge contesting the validity of the recent Cobb GOP Convention elections.

A press release from GOP Accountability asserts that beginning in 2022, the newly elected Chairperson, Mary Clarice Hathaway, removed the homestead tax exemption from her home in Cobb County, and then in 2023 filed for "legal resident" property tax exemption for he family's home in Pickens County, South Carolina.

The press release goes on the explain legal requirements surrounding status as an elector in Georgia and the law surrounding gaining tax exmept status.
