Fox 5 TV news (Atlanta) reported Tuesday evening that the shooting spree suspect that we reported on last week was found dead in his cell in DeKalb County jail, during a victim's vigil.

The details on how the suspect died is unclear, and the sheriff's office has started an investigation.

The deadly shootings took place in metro Atlanta in DeKalb County in the following locations: outside a Checkers fast-food restaurant at 12:50 AM, in front of a Kroger supermarket at 2 AM, and then involving a woman walking her dog on a residential street at 6:30 AM.

Two women were killed and one man was critically injured and later died.

There is not yet a known motive for the three homicides.

See the Fox 5 TV news below covering the death of the suspect, the victim vigil, and a report on the suspect's previous criminal history.

The Fox 5 reporter showed that the shooting spree suspect had pleaded guilty last year in Savannah to four misdemeanor charges of sexual battery. He was released on 48 months of probation, banned from Savannah for four years, and forced to attend a psycho-sexual-social evaluation, and to follow any recommended treatment.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
